Enhancements to Version 7.2.1h
This release brings together a series of minor enhancements and
revisions to the 16 bit version of Hornet Windmill. The new and
upgraded facilities include:
- The Time Location reports have been upgraded to use the full
tabbed mask displays for all report settings, title and company
details. This brings the facility into line with the rest of the
Standard Reports.
- The Bar Chart reports facilities have been extended to
support wider (taller) task bars to allow more prominant bars to
be shown, and to support overlapping styles within custom
reports. This is configured through the Bar Chart Symbols (GBS
Utility) and now supports the following options:
- BAR - This is the original standard bar style;
- FULLBAR - This is 50% wider than the standard bar;
- BIGBAR - Almost twice the width of standard bar (set to
90% of report line height).
- The Task Grouping facilities (these settings control the
display of several tasks on a single line of the report) has
been extended to support the following selections given below.
For custom reports this facility is selected by the SHEADING
command.
- USETENTHS - Group tasks within a value of 0.1 on the task
number;
- UNIQUE - Group tasks that have the same task number (this
is used when a global report is run to list tasks from
different sub-projects together, thereby selecting tasks
with the same number).
- The Worksheet facility within the Resource Spreadsheet has
been modified to allow a worksheet definition to be saved with a
general reference to the sub-project (sub-network) number. This
allow a single worksheet to be applied to a series of different
sub-projects within an overall project.
- A new function ADDDURN() has been added to the list of Report
Functions; this allows a forward or backward date calculation to
be made within a report instruction file.
- The function PERIOD() has been extended to return an error
code should an illegal date be specified. This allows error
checking of dates entered by a user.
- The BARLINE command has be extended to support the display of
'squared' zig-zag lines on a progressed bar chart report;
formerly only a pointed style zig-zag was supported.
