Software Support and Costs

Many Management and Engineering courses include a basic introduction to Scheduling and Planning techniques wherein colleges give an insight into the key role of Engineering Management. Prime objectives of this teaching are hands-on experience of typical Project Management software reinforced by a solid introduction of the methods and principles that can be applied.

Hornet Software has been approached by a number of colleges to make available an integrated package suitable for inclusion in Engineering and Management courses. This we have done by combining a full version of our system software backed up by on-line product documentation, tutorial and course notes, all bundled on a single CD-ROM.
 
The package we have produced has been well received by colleges to date and could be just as well suited to supplement your own existing course curriculum. Full details on the contents of the Educational Package are given below; a Demonstration Version is also available. This total package is offered to bona-fida Educational Establishments at a heavily discounted price representing less than one third the cost of a single user system in the commercial field.

The following items are included in an Educational Version of the Hornet Windmill Software:

• A full working copy of Hornet Windmill that may be installed and used on an unlimited number of PCs throughout a single Department at the Educational College;
• The copy of the software is customised to show the Department and College name as the license holders for the software;
• All Hornet Windmill User Guides and Technical Manuals in an on-line format;
• Tutorial and Training Course modules also in an on-line format;
• A local copy of our Hornet Software web site - this includes technical articles and background information on Project Management topics;
• Adobe Acrobat Reader software to access on-line documentation.

All the above software is supplied on a single CD-ROM. Also included with the package is one printed copy of the User Guide documentation.

We offer a Support service with all our Software products and registration with this service for one point of contact within the College Department for the first year is included in the total package price (the support registration for new users will run up until 31 August 2000, thereby spanning the next academic year in full).

Subsequent years annual registration to the support service and annual update to Hornet Software (One year from 1st September 2000)	£275 per annum

The Total Package price is a special promotional price offered to bona fida Educational Colleges and represents more than a 70% discount on the commercial single user license cost for the system software and support service. The Educational Teaching Package is not elligible for discounts under other promotional offers. The prices quoted exclude VAT and include delivery to a UK address.
